View from The Younger Boca Residents

Moving to a new area is a big adventure for the whole family; not just the parents.  So we thought we would ask some children about their views and experiences on moving to, and living in, Boca Raton:  ‘B’ is 7 years old, and ‘G’ is 9 years old:

Can you tell me why you like living in Boca Raton?

B: I like living in Boca Raton because it’s hotter than where we lived before, and they have lots of swimming pools.  I also have lots of really good friends in Boca Raton, and I like my school more in Boca.

G: I have made some really nice new friends and I love the weather here in Boca.  I also like it that there are lots more arty places here and we can go to the Boca Museum of Art where I’m going to take some classes.

What are your three favorite things about living in Boca Raton?

B: I have quite a few favorite things about living here such as the pools and being able to go swimming all the time, going jet-skiing, the movies and playing golf with my dad.  The beaches are also great and we can go to places nearby like Disney World.

G: Well, the people are really friendly.  I love the weather, and I get to go swimming almost every day.

What advice would you give to other children moving to Boca Raton?

B: I would say that they should go to my school which is St Andrews.  They should go swimming, go to the beaches and just have fun here.

G:  They should have fun, make lots of friends, enjoy themselves and go to a really good school.

Are there any things that you are not so keen on in Boca Raton?

B: They have big thunderstorms which keep me awake.

G: There’s not much to say about what I don’t like in Boca as I like everything.  When it rains, it comes down really fast.

If you had to live somewhere else in the world, where would it be?

B: I’m happy where I live in Boca, although perhaps I could live in that house that we all liked that’s also in Boca.  Maybe I could live in Australia as they have kangaroos that fight, koalas and snakes in bushes.

G: I like Miami because it’s close to Boca and because the sunsets are really good.  Otherwise, maybe I would go to London to see some of my family.
