Our Favorite Recreational Activities in Boca Raton

We have bragged (humbly we hope!) in previous posts about how Boca Raton seems to have it all. Great beaches, great restaurants, great schools, the list goes on.

This week, we want to focus on recreation, and all the great things on offer in the Boca Raton area. So, we have compiled a three part blog on three of the best recreational activities in the local area – golfing, fishing, and surfing.

Enjoy!

Part 1: Golfing

There are so many reasons to play golf. It’s a chance to get outside and experience nature for a few hours while reaping the health benefits of some physical activity. There’s the challenge of playing not just the course, but yourself, the most formidable of foes. And there’s the social benefit of enjoying some quality time with friends or family. Here are some of our favorite golf courses in Boca Raton:

Osprey Point

Osprey Point Golf Course has received numerous awards since its opening in 2010, and is one of the top public golf courses in Florida. You can test your metal (pun intended) on 27 holes divided into three nine-hole courses. The backdrop is a serene Florida landscape with a Platinum Paspalum turf, which presents a lush playing surface from tee to green.

The Broken Sound Club

The Broken Sound Club is one of the most exclusive golf and country clubs. Located in beautiful Boca Raton, this private club lifestyle is second to none. Broken Sound Club is an award-winning, year-round, private golf and country club community. As a five-star Platinum Club of America — the ultimate recognition of club excellence – Broken Sound is known for its warmth, elegance and genuine hospitality. Here you will find two signature golf courses that have hosted PGA Champions Tour events and will challenge even the most adept of golfers.

St. Andrews Country Club

St. Andrews offers 36 holes of championship golf, including an Arnold Palmer Signature Design®. Rolling fairways, deep bunkers, and testy water hazards await on both the Palmer course and the Fazio II Course. This course will test even the most cerebral of golfers to execute and every round offers something different. As you navigate the course, keep a look out for PGA pros like Phil Mickleson, John Daly, and Morgan Pressel who often play exhibitions here.
