
Festive Fun in Boca Raton
Tis the season to be socializing, and with that in mind, we wanted to share a few of our favorite events happening Christmas week and beyond. This is a great time to meet up with family and friends to enjoy the seasonal offerings of our incredible local area.

What: Boca Raton Bowl
Where: FAU Stadium
When: Tuesday, December 18th @ 7pm EST.
The Details:
For the fifth year, the City of Boca Raton welcomes players and fans from around the country to enjoy an exciting matchup in the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl. This year’s game will feature the Northern Illinois Huskies from the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and the UAB Blazers from Conference USA (CUSA).
This is the only match up this season outside of the New Year’s Six hosting two conference champions. The game will be aired LIVE on ESPN before a national audience and globally on ESPN’s affiliates around the world. There will be a pep rally on December 17th to get all the fans suitably fired up for the big game.

What: Boca Raton Boat Parade
Where: Along the Intracoastal in Boca Raton
When: Saturday, December 22nd @ 7pm EST.
The Details:
The City of Boca Raton will light up the waterways again this weekend with the 42nd Annual Holiday Boat Parade. The Parade will be on Saturday, December 22 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm from the C-15 Canal (Boca Raton-Delray Beach city limits) traveling south to the Hillsboro Bridge. There are three viewing areas available for parade viewers: Red Reef Park (west), the Wildflower Property and Silver Palm Park.
This is a fantastic night of holiday fun that is unique to this area of the world. Where else would you see boats festooned in holiday lights rolling along the water as fans cheer!
If you want to get to this spectacle, the estimated bridge closing times are:
6:50pm – Spanish River
7:20pm – Palmetto Park
7:30pm – Camino Real
Bridges are typically held in the up position for approximately 45 minutes.
What: The 100 foot Christmas Tree
Where: Downtown Delray Beach
When: Anytime!
The Details:
This year, Delray Beach celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Famous 100 Foot Christmas Tree. A whole generation of Delray Beach children have grown up with the Tree which has been named one of the 10 Best Christmas Trees in America.
The Famous 100 Foot Christmas Tree is ready for a whole new generation of children to enjoy! There are all kinds of celebrations going on over the holiday period, so get the family down to celebrate.
If you’re looking for some specific festive fun, check out the Classic Holiday Storytelling evening planned for Friday, Dec. 21st. Gather around the 100 foot Christmas tree for old fashioned carols, a bit of history and the reading of the classic holiday tale. (Note: Reservations are required for this one – call this number 561.274-9578. The cost is $10.)
